Monday 16th March 2020 – Covid-19 Learner Update

Monday 16th March 2020 – Learner Update

Dear Learner,

Following the recent outbreak of COVID-19 in the UK, I wanted to write to you directly to update you on the steps we are taking at ASAT Ltd to protect both our Field Based Team and you, our learners.

We are basing our actions upon advice from the UK Government, their health and scientific advisors as well as industry bodies such as BDA, GDC, NHS, CQC and the ESFA. As this advice changes, so too will our actions, however at present, this is where we currently stand.

Are we cancelling training?

The simple answer is no. It’s currently business as usual and we are working with our Field Based Team to ensure all advice is followed to the highest standard.

What happens if a member of our team is ill?

We work with our team who are based across the UK and we are ensuring they are all healthy and free of COVID-19. If any of our team are found to have even mild symptoms, we will either find you another member of the team, if available, or we will reschedule appointments with you.

How will we protect your staff?

Keeping you, and our team, safe and healthy is our priority. Our team are fully equipped to follow industry standards to prevent the spread of any infection or virus and as this is already standard practice for them, this won’t be any different to how they operated before the COVID-19 outbreak.

How is the antibacterial product shortage impacting us?

The current antibacterial product shortage will not impact the standard of hygiene practices we operate. We have advised our team on procedures to minimise the spread of infection and have also asked them to follow your site procedures when they are in attendance.  We have also asked them to risk assess each individual situation.

How will this impact learner appointments?

If appointments have been cancelled if absolutely necessary, we will still complete a ‘remote’ appointment to ensure learners continue to progress and learn.

Our staff are equipped to continue to work from home should we need to close our office, so that we can continue to be there for you, our learners, during these uncertain times.

If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to get in touch.

What other steps are we taking?

If appointments have been cancelled if absolutely necessary, we will still complete a ‘remote’ appointment to ensure learners continue to progress and learn.

Our staff are equipped to continue to work from home should we need to close our office, so that we can continue to be there for you, our customers, during these uncertain times.

If you have any further questions you’d like answered or would like to discuss your training needs, please do not hesitate to get in touch.
